When Tommy Callahan graduates triumphantly after seven years of college with a D+ average and returns to Sandusky, Ohio, no one is prouder than his father, Big Tom or more surprised than his hometown. As the proud successor of Callahan Auto Parts, young Tommy finds himself confronted with a buy-out attempt, spearheaded by his babelicious step-mother, Beverly and her devoted son, Paul. It soon becomes clear that the only way to save both the plant and town rests squarely on Tommy's round shoulders. Together with Richard Hayden, the most efficient and obnoxious man in the company, the two hit the road. And the road hits back… with hilarious results.
