This buddy picture pairs Rock Keats, a black police officer, with a white car thief/ drug-runner, Archie Moses. Rock is working undercover when he is assigned to become friends with Archie, in order to capture drug lord Frank Colton, The friendship goes great, until Archie finds out about the sting and accidentally shoots Rock in the head. Several months later, Rock emerges from the hospital sporting a metal head plate. After a goofy chain of events, he ends up shackled to Archie and stuck in Arizona, where he and his dubious new friend must somehow flee from Frank's murderous assistants.
